Private Charter British Columbia

I felt very safe with Colin running the Ship, Jack greasing the engines and Liam manning the toys!
And I got fat with Milan in the Galley!!!!!

Liz Howard, Fraser Yachts

Because we want you to spend the most memorable journey aboard while cruising spectacular British Columbia, we offer the boat as a private boat charter. With free run of the entire boat, your family or group of friends can experience the idyllic coastline and wildlife of our BC cruises treated to our personal Chef's local fine cuisine.

You call the shots

If you are looking for discovery on shore, we will arrange any activity from hiking or mountain biking through an old-growth forest to digging for clams or a picnic on the beach. If it’s marine excitement you crave, we have a selection of toys for all tastes including fishermen, waterskiiers and just plain waterbabies.

Reservations

Bookings on the Pacific Yellowfin are based on availability on a first come, first serve basis. There are no
starting days except for our packages with some of our parnters (please see our Packages). A four-day
minimum stay is required, unless a booking is made with our partners and in which case we accept 3-night
stays. Please see the Package details for rates or contact us. Guests can stay onboard for as long as they want; please call us for these special rates as well.

Reservations must be confirmed with a deposit (please see below our Payment policy). The Pacific Yellowfin
may however, where circumstances allow, hold unconfirmed reservations for up to 72h. If the dates held are
requested by another party, the Pacific Yellowfin will contact you and ask for a decision to secure your
reservation.

Payment

A 50% deposit of the total cost of booking including taxes is due at time of reservation. The
preferred method is by cheques or wire transfer to avoid credit card surcharges. Should you wish to use a
credit card, a 2.5% service charge will apply. Bank wire information will be provided with the invoice.
The balance of payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. Bookings received within 60 days of your arrival
require full payment.

Cancellation

Cancellation received more than 90 days before arrival will result in a 25% penalty of the total payment
received. The balance of the payment is transferrable to a future booking within a 24-month period on any
destination, depending upon booking availability. Cancellations received between 60 and 90 days before
arrival will result in a 50% penalty with, similarly, the balance of the payment being put forward to a future
booking within a 12 month period on any destination, depending upon booking availability.

A short operator season prevents us from refunding payments with a cancellation less than 60-day notice.

+90 days: 25% of payment with voucher towards a future trip
61 – 89 days 50% of payment with voucher towards a future trip
- 60 days 100& non-refundable

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance.

Pacific Yellowfin Cancellation

Though it has not happened as of the season 2011, The Pacific Yellowfin reserves the right to revise or cancel
any charter at any time for any reason determined in our sole discretion, including if the quality of the trip or
the safety of the guests is judged by the Captain Colin Griffinson to be compromised. Every effort will be
made to comply with our offer but the Pacific Yellowfin cannot be held responsible for delays or changes of
itinerary caused by acts of God, weather, strikes, aircraft delays, or other causes beyond its reasonable control.
In the event of cancellation, the Pacific Yellowfin is not responsible for any loss incurred on non-refundable
travel arrangements. Again, we strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance.

Partners Cancellation

The packages we have assembled have been made with care in conjunction with operators we know and
believe their services match our vision and quality. We have known them and have been closely working with
them for a long time. However, we cannot be held responsible for their cancellation policy. Please see their
own terms & conditions for more information.

Taxes, Fees & Surcharges

Guests are responsible for all applicable taxes, fees and surcharges payable in respect of each booking. These
taxes include the British Columbia Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) of 12% and credit cards service charge of
2.5% as stated in our Payment section.

Visitors from outside Canada may be eligible to receive a partial Canadian tax rebate (HST). Please visit the
Canadian Government Website for more information.

Eligibility & children

Most of our guests come for a multi-generation holiday and we welcome all ages starting from new borns.
Some locations such as the Great Bear Rainforest, due to its remoteness and sometimes difficult weather, is
best suited for adults. Because guests are on the water and on a historical vessel, we ask that parents be
responsible for the supervision and respectful behaviour of their children. Babysitting services can be provided
with prior notice. Our crew, though happy to help and to play with the children, is not responsible for looking
after them. Children fees are negotiable, please contact us for detail.

Similarly, because of the configuration and layout of the vessel, we unfortunately cannot receive guests that
are 100% confined to a wheelchair, except if they can be assisted by a third party at all times.

Preparing your trip

As stated in the Rates section, we will be pleased to help you with any travel arrangements as well as gear
packing, fishing licence purchase, Vancouver overnight stays, etc; you just have to contact us and let us know
what you need.
Your contact at the office if Captain Colin Griffinson is away on the boat is Gratianne: 1604.321.2124.

  • Truly the family reunion that we had all imagined!
